Think you know better? Can you outsmart the Algorithm over the course of a season?

Round two of the Rugby World Cup in Japan kicks off with Group A where Samoa have their opening game of the tournament against Russia. Here we take a look at our Rugby World Cup Round Two Predictions.

Pick of the bunch

The stand-out fixture – and prediction – of round two is undoubtedly Australia vs Wales on Sunday. The Algorithm is giving the Aussies a 1-point margin of victory in a 17-16 win. Australia struggled against Fiji for 60 minutes and that game will no doubt have taken it out of Australia. The interesting thing about this game is that the bookies make Wales the 5/6 favourite so Australia at about EVENS could be worth a bet.

Another possibly close match-up could be Italy vs Canada. The Algorithm has predicted Italy winning by a 16-point margin but their performance against Namibia was poor and they shipped 22 points against them. Canada are yet to play and will be fresh and looking to cause an upset here. The bookies make Canada the 10/1 outsider, which again, could well be worth some money.

Elsewhere in round 2

England, South Africa, New Zealand and France are all being predicted to come out with big wins in their respective group games.

Top Bets

Two possible good bets here would be Canada at 10/1 to beat Italy and Australia to win at around even money.
